Meet the artist

A little about me...

I’m a Florida-based artist, illustrator, and the person behind Erin Payne Creative. I’ve always been a creative person, but like a lot of adults, there was a stretch of life when making art slowly slipped further and further down the priority list.

Eventually, I found my way back to it—through sketchbooks, watercolor experiments, digital illustration, and simply giving myself permission to make things again.

Erin Payne Creative grew out of that return to creativity. What started as making art just because it felt good has grown into a colorful little world of art prints, stationery, stickers, creative freebies, and whatever else I’m excited to make next.

Inspired by life in the Sunshine State

I live on Florida’s east coast, so it probably isn’t surprising that my work tends to be full of palms, sea turtles, citrus, tropical flowers, beachy colors, and anything else that feels a little bit like sunshine.

I love playful shapes, imperfect handmade details, nostalgic color palettes, and art that doesn’t take itself too seriously. My goal is to create things that make everyday spaces and routines feel a little more colorful and fun—whether that’s a print on your wall, a sticker on your water bottle, or a notepad sitting on your desk.

Behind the Art

Most days, I’m creating somewhere in the middle of regular family life. I’m a mom of two little girls, so my creative time often happens in small pockets—during naps, after bedtime, or whenever I can sneak into my studio for a while.

I work across both traditional and digital media, especially watercolor, sketchbooks, and Procreate. I love letting one idea bounce between mediums: a sketchbook experiment might turn into an illustration, which might become a stationery collection, which might inspire a printable or a future class.

That process—the experimenting, figuring things out, changing my mind, and occasionally making a mess—is a big part of what I share in my Creative Journal too.
